Beside
working as a musician I also give saxophone lessons.
I hold a graduate degree in education, and during the 15 years of my
teaching I gained a lot of experience with different kinds of students.
I teach special things about the saxophone (like embouchure, finger
technique, posture) and things about music in general (rhythm, music
theory, presentation).
The repertoire consists of different styles of music (pop, jazz, classical
music). Students who bring pieces they want to play on their own are
very welcome.
I teach all levels: complete beginners
and very advanced players.
To me it is important that students enjoy practicing and learning, and
find their own musical way.
The room where I teach is located at Schwedenstraße 14 (U-Bhf
Osloer Straße, Berlin-Wedding). It is suffuced with light. There
is a keyboard I can use to accompany the students and a PA, so it is
possible to use play alongs.
Lessons are once per week, optionally 45 or 60 minutes. There are no
lessons during school holidays, but I make exceptions for those who
are not bound to that.
If you want to find out, if this is the right thing for you, you can
just contact me and arrange one single lesson: mail@kathrinlemke.de
